Fermentation Starter Kit with Pickle Pipe, Weight, and Rust Free Ring (For Wide Mouth Jars)

This fermentation kit from Mason Jar Lifestyle is easy to use and comes with a silicone fermentation lid (LFCB European Grade), a stainless steel band, and a glass weight designed for wide-mouth Mason jars. It has everything you need to start fermenting!

Here's how to use it:

1. Thoroughly clean your jar, pickle pipe, and glass weight.

2. Prepare your vegetables by either salting and pounding them or packing them into the jar and pouring a saltwater brine over them.

3. Place the glass weight on top of the vegetables to keep them submerged under the brine.

4. Insert the pickle pipe into the mouth of the jar, making sure the silicone grommet is in place.

5. Press the pickle pipe down until it touches the surface of the brine.

6. Secure the pickle pipe with the metal ring provided.

7. Allow the vegetables to ferment for the desired amount of time in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight.

8. Check the jar daily to make sure the pickle pipe is still in place and that the vegetables are submerged under the brine. Skim off any floaters that may have accumulated on the surface.

9. Once the fermentation process is complete, remove the pickle pipe and glass weight and replace them with a regular lid before storing the jar in the refrigerator.
